Smart Fastening System Information
Torque-control systems monitor and control tightening torque while recording fastening results. Torque-and-angle systems add rotational measurement and allow more detailed fastening strategies where angle, seating behaviour and joint response are important.
Inline tools work well for vertical and bench assembly. Right-angle tools improve access in confined locations, while pistol-grip models can be useful for horizontal fastening and applications where a trigger-operated handle is preferred.
Compatible systems can store fastening results locally or send them to plant systems using supported serial or Ethernet communication. Final communication options depend on the controller model, software configuration and production network.
Confirm the required torque range, target accuracy, fastening direction, speed, angle strategy, data format, job count, tool orientation and ESD requirements before selecting a system.
Selection note: Each tool must be paired with its compatible controller and cable configuration. Product links point directly to the matching Kilews West product or product-series page listed in the August 2026 product catalog.
